Qualitrol acquired a Swedish company AKM and moved final assembly from Sweden to Rochester, NY.
Lack of documentation prevented training of additional technicians, so over 6 months I recreated assembly documentation for 200+ custom assemblies and corrected B.O.M.s in Qualitrol's customized JD Edwards and Oracle systems. Along the way I standardized a wiring pictograph for technicians and standardized components where possible to reduce assembly time.
This project enabled the company to add a second technician to the assembly cell and catch up on a 3+ month backup of units.
