Cracked Wheat Hot Cereal

I can't say this is everyone's favorite, but it's a great way to use your wheat in food storage and this version of hot grain cereal sticks with you!

Ingredients

2 c. whole wheat

1 1/2 c. water (another recipe has 4 c. water)

Salt to taste

Preparation

Place in crock pot on low over night. If possible stir during 1st hour.

Eat as whole wheat berries or blend in blender or food processor to desired texture.

Freeze unused portion in freezer bags.

Top with brown sugar or maple syrup. Add nuts, berries or bananas.
