Google Earth
Here are the placemarks of some interesting places and sights that can be viewed with Google Earth (free download here) or any other GIS-type program that can read KML/KMZ files.
If you have Google Earth installed on your computer, clicking on these links will open Google Earth and take you to the place. You can also right-click on the link and save the placemark file (.KMZ format) to your hard drive for later viewing.
If you don't have Google Earth installed on your machine, you can go to Google Maps in a web browser and paste the URL of the placemark file that you want to view into the Google Maps search box.
Enjoy!
