Hillman St Bar B Que

By James Carroll

Once when we lived on Hillman St I was sitting out under the Cabana type shed where we had a Smokey Joe. I was cooking a Boston Butt for the family. I was leaning back in my chair relaxing with a cool one and could see the ceiling where a Bumble Bee had drilled three holes in the beam across the top of the shed. In a little while along came a Bumble Bee and explored the first hole, and found it to be empty. He went to the next hole and it was empty also. The Bee went to the last hole and went in, and two Bees came out around and around ‘till death do us part they flew out over the swimming pool you could hear them screaming at each other and SPLAT they hit the water, one got up and flew away but the other one had trouble getting up so I ran over there and helped him with the leaf skimmer. RIP I was too late to save him.
