Fort Hood Massacre

On 5 November 2009, Nidal Malik Hasan, a U.S. Army Major a psychiatrist and a devout Muslim opened fire in the Soldier Readiness Center of Fort Hood, killing 13 people and wounding 30 others.

A week after this act of Islamic Jihad occurred, President Obama said its too soon to know the motives of the devout Muslim attacker. It is too soon to jump to judgement, unlike his jump to judgement when he condemned the Cambridge police for arresting his buddy while admitting he lacked the facts. Three months after the attack, the President is still silent on the reasons. His he merely silent or also at least slightly sympathethic?

Most media are also clueless about why Hasan, the attacker, did what he did. See a concise commentary on this by Australian William Muehlenberg here.

Here is the answer that most media ignore. "Sudden Jihad Syndrome." This is the result of one of the majority of Muslims who are considered "moderate" suddenly becoming more devout. The process of becoming more devout might take several years, several months or several minutes, no one knows for sure. But as a Muslim becomes more devout, he becomes more immersed in all the facets of Islam, including the call for violent Jihad against the infidel. The "infidel" is anyone who does not practice the Islamic ideology in the manner thought to be proper by the Jihadist. This explains why Jihadis commit violent acts against fellow Muslims. The more moderate (less devout) among them are also considered infidels, worthy of punishment.

And why do most media ignore the true nature of Islam? See HERE and HERE.

Some say Hasan was mentally disturbed and "snapped". That could be said of every Jihadi around the world. The whole world sounds like Rice Crispies. Sorry, Muslim apologists. That isn't what happens. Premeditation motivated by a deeply held belief in Islamic doctrine is not "snapping."

"There were such clear, obvious, massive warning signs that were missed," she said. "This terrorist, even having business cards" that identified him as an "SoA" or soldier of Allah. Palin blamed a culture of political correctness and other decisions that "prevented -- I'm going to say it -- profiling" of someone with Hasan's extremist ideology. "I say, profile away," Palin said. Such political correctness, she continued, "could be our downfall." If the upcoming investigations into the attack reveal bad decision-making on the part of senior officials, Palin continued, those officials ought to be fired.

And how long had Hason been considering attack? Apparently for over a year, based on this statement from a buddy in Yemen.

This raises the question about how many so-called "moderate" Muslims are in the process of becoming "sudden Jihadists". That is the key question we have to ask ourselves when we consider Muslims in the US military or in key positions in our governement. And a question I have to ask about our President. Take a look at the video on this web page. Is it possible Obama, too, has more sympathy for those like Hasan than for the US mission in Afghanistan - or for our troops?

Barry Rubin has analyzed the PowerPoint presentation Hasan gave to the military medical staff. Rubin concludes this is the first presentation explaining in advance why a Jihad attack was carried out. Mr. President, are you paying attention? Hasan's PowerPoint presentation can be seen here.

White House stonewalling results of Fort Hood investigation here. And the reason for this? To avoid impugning the innocence of "the religion of peace," the President's favorite religion.

No one wanted to deal with him because he was a Muslim. No one wants to offend a Muslim. A retired three star general comments here.
