Welcome to a New Year of exciting astrophysical and cosmological news.
We are back with renovated energy, and we will have one JC session before indulging in the pleasures of Carnaval.
Coming Monday, at 11am as usual, at the third floor of UNESP as in our baseline configuration.
Some papers to discuss

(add to the pot yourself, it must not necessarily be the ones already here, but yours too!)
and then we will enjoy a talk from Julian Bautista (University of Utah) on baryon acoustic oscillations (title and abstract follow below).
Title: Baryon acoustic oscillation at z=0.72 in the eBOSS Luminous Red Galaxy sample
Abstract: I will present the first cosmological measurement of using the eBOSS LRG sample. With a sample of about 100k galaxies, we measured the baryon acoustic scale from which we derive a distance to redshift 0.72. By the end of the survey, these measurement will help understanding how the Universe expands as a function of time, putting constraints on models of dark energy.
