Title: The Cosmic Infrared Background : a probe of large scale structure
Abstract: The Cosmic Infrared Background is a continuous and integrated field encoding the emission due to processes involved in galaxy formation and evolution since the decoupling. Its bulk has been emitted at z~1-2 at the peak of star formation in the Universe by dusty-star forming galaxies, galaxies undergoing an active and continuous star formation. In addition, even if it is isotropic it displays anisotropies, an image of the density field of these galaxies, therefore, a biased image of the density field of dark matter, making the CIB a preferential probe of star formation in dark matter halos. Planck and Herschel have allowed accurate measurements of the power spectra of CIB anisotropies on scales both linear and non-linear as well as on the whole wavelength domain of the CIB. At the light of these measurements, I will show how the clustering of dusty star-forming galaxies (including higher orders) as seen through the CIB anisotropies, have been revealing about the link between galaxies and dark matter as well as its cosmological applications.
