🔥Get Awesome Google Sites Templates!
Google Sites makes it incredibly easy to add a calendar to your page. First of all, make sure the calendar already actually exists in the Google Calendar application. Remember, just because it is embedded on the page doesn't mean you manage a calendar in Google Sites. You need to consider your calendar settings and sharing permissions from that app itself. Here's how to get the calendar on your webpage:
Begin in edit mode for Google Sites, which should have a publish button in the top right
Select Insert from the right hand sidebar
Scroll down to Calendar and select that
From the Google Calendar menu here, you can see all the calendars you have access to as Owner or as shared. There are also other calendars like domain-wide birthdays if enabled and general use holiday calendars.
Select 1-5 calendars to insert into the page. If you select multiple calendars from this screen, then they will be all aggregated into one gadget view. Different colors are automatically assigned.
Customize your calendar embed via settings such as Use user time zone, calendar title, show date, show navigation buttons, etc.

Compare old and new Google Calendar embeds and you'll see a delightful overhaul aesthetically, not to mention for accessibility. As a September 2024 Workspace blog post explains, this embedded calendar style is easier to read and more responsive. The mobile calendar view was also previewed with a screenshot, although some calendar event items appear cropped off. Undoubtedly, users will still need to allocate proper space for this gadget to display on a website regardless of responsiveness.
This is a Google Workspace release foremost, so those customers will see it appear between September 17 and October 7, 2024 depending on rollout pace and deployment.

Go to individual calendar settings and view Integrate Calendar options. Here you can easily grab the public URL for your calendar or an iframe code snippet.
Customize and embed multiple calendars for a powerful scheduling tool
Delete out widget and height parameters to allow the calendar to fit to your container
You can hide Title, Nav buttons, Date, Print Icon, Tabs, border, background color, calendar list, time zone if you want.
