Welcome to your final lesson of the term. This lesson will be a bit of a light and more of an informative lesson. We will begin by looking into the criminal mind of a dark wizard and how aurors do forensics.

Mind of a Dark Wizard

Dark Wizards as we are aware of do not think like you or I, they are considered both to Muggles and Wizards as criminals and a threat to society. Criminals are often born from a long line of dark wizards most often of pure blood decent. From as young as Hogwarts age these wizards often will show signs of dark magic and criminal content. If you look back the sixth Harry Potter when Tom Riddle from as young as eleven years old knew he was different than the Muggle children from his orphanage. By the the he graduated Hogwarts he already planned and committed a few crimes such as opening the Chamber of Secrets. A Dark Wizards mind like all criminals they strive on power and resentful behavior which has been most often genetic. Dark Wizards feels powerful when they cause pain to others they enjoy seeing others suffer at the hands of their master. Many of these Wizards come from a line of abuse, neglect and often controlling and powerful family to whom they are taught that bad is the right way in life. The following is a diagram of how the human mind works and what we need to supply it with to keep it happy and healthy however with Dark Wizards they lack the stimulation and affection which in turn they result to striving for power through criminal behavior.

Forensics Lab 101

Perhaps your aware of a forensics lab. Forensics is the branch of work where it investigates criminal cases that ended in death of another person. As in the Muggle world forensic labs exist in our world too, they are responsible for carrying out autopsy's and other tests to find out the cause of death and the type of magic and or object and or potion used. Forensic labs are different in a way due in part that most of the workers are potion experts and are also aurors in themselves called Forensic Auror which is responsible for this type of work. When an Auror is out on a case and there are deaths present, and or cursed individuals a forensic Auror must be contacted immediately to take on the case for further investigation all Aurors have a way to contact each other at all times.
