Class Information and Outline

How this class works

This class is taught in three levels. Each level will take one term to complete. Students must complete all three levels to complete the program and receive an award and certificate. So that means a student will take three terms to complete the program. 

*New (Fall Term 2023) 

 Level One and Two is now combined into a Full year class. You have the chance to earn both levels in one HOL school year. However you must  either pass and earn a quill in level one or complete at least 130 points within that complete the two class discussions and attempt the midterm to continue ( you will however NOT earn a quill with this option)  into level two in the spring term. If you have already passed level one in previous terms/years, you are welcome to  take level two in the Spring. Please message me at holauror@gmail.com with your HOL name and house if you would like to be added to the class in the Spring. 

Class lessons and exams are taught like a regular HOL class, and are made easy and fun for you to complete your levels. Students will be taught what they are expected to know as an Auror, and each level will be harder than the last. We will be touching base on Dark arts as the main interest, potions, charms, and the skills you need to know.

Class Requirements

There are no requirements to get into level one and the training program, students are however encouraged to have some background of Defense against the Dark Arts which will help in understanding the content of this class. This course will be a heavy writing course, most of the assignments in level one are essay and short answer questions. Students are recommended to browse over the class before signing up. As with any heavy training program, this class will focus on theory in level one and move on to practical in levels two and three. The only requirement is that all students must pass the courses in the level they are offered to be able to take level two and then level three.

Due Dates:

All assignments have due dates posted at the top of the lesson please keep all dates in mind. You may do the assignments at your own pace. However, all required course work is due no later than the designated end of term due date. (January/June 15th for assignments and January/June 15th for final exam) There is no need to email me for extensions, as I will not penalize you if you decide to submit work at your own pace.
