Create dashboard from workspace

In Powerbi workspae

The icons above the visual has a Pin option

Click pin

It creates a dashboard

Dashboard is pretty much with a list of visuals pined from different reports as a shortcut

From the 3 dots of the pinned visual on a dashboard, there are many options, one is manage alerts. You can create alert rules to monitor some figures, and send emails if needed

Scheduled dataset refresh

Hover over the dataset file in my workspace

Go to the second icon / setting

Go to schedule refresh

it needs the gateway connection set up by IT

never use personal gateway (installed on personal computer)

 set the refresh schedule

ask admin to set up the gateway

To connect to on prem resources, we may need a gateway in the dataset setting

If the powerbi service already can connect to the data source, no need for the gateway, just setup the data source credentials and the scheduled refresh should show up.

Depending on the licnese type, the allowed refresh rate is different, e.g. 48 times per day for premium

Create an app

1 create a new workspace

2 publish multiple reports to the workspace

3 go to the workspace

4 create app

5 'include in app'
