Elarish.btl

The scenario was adapted directly from the GDW boardgame "Air Superiority" module "Desert Falcons" by JD Webster.

"Action Over El Arish! 31 October 1956

Though technically outclassed, two IAF Mystere-IVs attacking from an advantageous position emerged victoriousagainst a flight of new Egyptian MiG-17 fighters near El Arish. One MiG crashed from the damage it sustained from the fight. No Israeli jets were damaged."

Since the Mystere IV is not modeled in FC-2, I have chosen the F-86F as a substitute, as it has over all performance most similar to the Mystere IV.

Kabrit.btl

The scenario was adapted directly from the GDW boardgame "Air Superiority" module "Desert Falcons" by JD Webster.

"Battle Over Kabrit! 30 October 1956

In a bid for air superiority, Israeli Mysteres attacked Egyptian MiGs over their own field at Kabrit. Eight Mysteres and 12 MiG-15s became embroiled in a fierce battle in which two MiGs were destroyed, two claimed as probables, and others hit. One Mystere was heavily damaged but limped home."

Since the Mystere is not modeled in FC-2, I have chosen the F-86F as a substitute, as it has over all performance most similar to the Mystere.

Lowdogf2.btl

The scenario was adapted directly from the GDW boardgame "Air Superiority" module "Desert Falcons" by JD Webster.

"Low-Altitude Dogfight! 31 October 1956

While hunting enemy tanks near Bir-gifgafa in the Sinai, two IAF Ouragans were jumped by a pair of Egyptian MiG-15s. A dangerous low-altitude turning contest developed with the MiGs and Ouragans chasing each other's tails right on the deck. It ended when one MiG was crippled by cannon fire and both fled."

Since the Ouragan is not modeled in FC-2, I have chosen the F-80C as a substitute, as it has over all performance most similar to Ouragan.

In this version there are ground targets for the Ouragans to strike.

Rescue.btl

The scenario was adapted directly from the GDW boardgame "Air Superiority" module "Desert Falcons" by JD Webster.

"Mystere's to the Rescue! 31 October 1956

Two Ouragans attacking Egyptian armor just east of Bir Hama found themselves in a hornet's nest. An entire squadron of MiGs had spotted them. Eight attacked while four provided top cover. The two Ouragans desperately fought for their lives until friendly Mysteres arrived. While some aircraft chased away the top cover, two Mysteres attacked the eight MiGs below, shooting one down and scattering the rest. One Ouragan limped home after being badly damaged by 37mm cannon hits; the other managed to make a safe belly landing when it ran out of fuel just short of its base. The Mysteres were not damaged."

Since the Ouragan and Mystere IV are not modeled in FC-2, I have chosen the F-80C and F-86F as substitutes.
