Now sold but here for reference:
This rig belonged to Sten, SM6NVD and was sold to me by his son Tomas, SM6TBZ in October 2011. I had been after one for quite a while and happy to report it lives up to its reputation.
The web resources for this rig are very sparse, I am a member of the Yahoo group (shimizudenshi) but have a lot of resources at the bottom of this page also. If you have any information at all, please let me know through the feedback form and I will be in touch!
This rig is fitted with the optional FM boards (SE-FMT and SE-FMR) and CW crystal filter but is missing the Noise blanker (SE-NB) which would be mounted along the left side in the above photo.
The Marker board (SE-MK) is not installed and would occupy the bottom right side of the above photo in a vertical position.
The rig has not been installed with all crystals. The Assembly manual states it covers the WARC bands as well as those on the front panel band switch but I'm not sure how this can be achieved. I will have to cross reference the installed crystals with the band switch.
As you can see the rig is immaculate inside and out, a little VFO backlash is evident but drift is negligible after 5 minutes.
This is the separate 100 Watt PA module that I need to attach to the rear of the rig, I think I will do some testing before I make the final placement.
I will update these pages with photos and the manual as there are few resources available on the web (the yahoo group seems to have ceased activity - membership request 2 months and counting).
Come back or contact me if you want more information or know how to connect up the 100 W PA!
