We have finally moved in and the new house is great!
I have my shack nearly sorted of toys, clothes and am starting to make a mark on it. The desk is in and the shelves suitable laden with meters, dials and components.
My rigs are all connected up and I can just cone in and switch on which is a such an improvement. Of course the mike lead on my Kenwood TK-805 rig had to break but I will soon fix that.
The aerial at the moment is a dipole for 20m laid on the extension roof and used for RX only so far (but it does tune up ok). I'm just making a single coil Z-Match from the VK5BR design, Caps purchased from ebay (£15), 16 SWG wire (£8) bough, wound and ready for connection - can't wait to get the G5RV mounted as a doublet from the chimney stack.
Typing this I have a lovely view of a Welsh mountain and 20 m CW pile-up in the background. does it get any better?
