Oscilloscope on its way

I've just purchased a 20 MHz dual beam 'scope from ebay for £40!

The Goldstar 9020A is quite an old beast but more than good enough for my needs. I have a raft of uses for it already mainly centred around the TenTEC 1320. The list of tests so fare are:

    • See what RF is present on the PA biasing circuit before I do the mod to add an RF choke to the biasing arrangement.

    • Check the timing of the TX/RX switching to remove the horrible key-up thud

    • Check the level of RF supplied back to the receiver for the sidetone operation

    • Peak everything for maximum performance!

I also have quite a few homebrew projects in mind and want to learn more about different PA biasing arrangements in practice rather than text book so I'm looking forward to its arrival.
