The Street Vet & Street Dogs

By donating 1 percent of my gross turnover to The Street Vet, I’ve found a sense of closure about never becoming a veterinarian. I know how to castrate and sterilize dogs and cats, how to lamb sheep, and how to handle all kinds of animals. In many ways, I was almost a vet. And all of this simply because I never went to the student vet parties that were part of the program.

The Work Of The Street Vet

The Street Vet was founded in Los Angeles with the mission of caring for the pets of people experiencing homelessness. The organization's original goal was to connect with homeless individuals through their animals and provide basic veterinary care. Today, The Street Vet focuses on preventing diseases, providing medical treatment, and improving the welfare of pets belonging to homeless people. In addition, the organization helps care for stray dogs and cats, giving vulnerable animals a better chance at a healthy and safe life.

The Street Vet

The Street Vet was Databeet’s 1 percent NGO for the first quarter of 2021. This meant that for every 100 euros I earned, 1 euro was donated to this organization. By supporting The Street Vet, I contribute to improving the lives of vulnerable animals and the people who care for them. This is one of the 17 sustainability goals the world must reach in 2030, animal welfare for all living beings!
