Hobbies and Interests: Football, video games, guitar, riding his motorcycle
Background: Wick grew up the oldest of three boys in a middle-class family in Bellingham, WA. When Wick's power first emerged, he didn't even realize it. At first, he just thought he could run faster and longer than he ever had before. To him, it was just the physical training paying off. It wasn't until one day that he reached for his shirt on the bed and it flew across the room that he knew something was different. With some practice, he was able to make things come to him. Not wanting his family to be afraid of him, he kept his secret and went about his daily life.Wanting to play football for his school's team, he tried out and made first string. He was a star running back for a whole season and had even received a full scholarship ride to the University of Washington. It wasn't until one night during a playoff game that he began to rely too much on his teke and even began using it to direct the football in midair. After the game, the other team contested the game and he was called under for testing. When they found out he was a mutant, Wick lost his scholarship, he was kicked off the team and he was expelled. His parents were shocked and ashamed that they'd raised a mutant son, let alone one who would cheat like that. They kicked him out.Reeling from his loss and the shock of his parents turning their backs on him, Wick was outraged. He went out drinking and got really lit before the wheels started spinning. Albeit drunk wheels and he started thinking stupid things. He wanted to leave town, but he needed some money first. He decided to rob a bank and headed to the first one he saw. Pacific First National Bank was at the end of the street and hejust used his powers to smash in the doors. It took some doing on his part, but he finally managed to open the small vault, which only contained about $10,000 at the time. When he came out, the police had surrounded the building. He was drunk and tired, and barely had any strength left so there wasn't much resistance on his part. After what had happened earlier, though, everyone in town now knew that he was a mutant, and possibly dangerous.
They decided not to try him as an adult. Instead, he was sent to juvenile detention. He did have some trouble while on the inside. He was a model prisoner, but still was the victim of a few attacks by anti-mutant prisoners. One time he was stabbed while waiting in line for his lunch. He was placed in isolation for his own safety for awhile. Because of his good behavior, it was deemed that on his 18th birthday, his sentence would be commuted to community service at Grey Institute instead of being sent to a Super-Max facility.
Personality: Wick used to be a fun, free spirit. He liked to party and have a good time, but the last few months has made him wary of letting his guard down. Once he feels safe in a new environment, he will open up to people again.
