General Ag Middle School Contest

This contest provides middle school students with the opportunity to experience a variety of CDE areas. The competition includes content from animal science, agronomy, agriculture mechanics, food science, and FFA. Each participant will compete individually in all areas. After completion of the contest attendees will participate in an activity in the Junior Achievement Career Exploration Facility.

Event format:

The contest will consist of the following parts:

• A general knowledge exam consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions (~10 from each of the criteria listed above).

• identification of common items including hands-on, pictures, and displays.

Each contestant should bring a clipboard, calculator, and a supply of #2 pencils.

No cell phones allowed.

There is no state contest for the General Ag Middle School Contest.

Chaperones to help support the FVTC staff with coordinating participants are greatly appreciated.
