Virtual Screener Exam: February 29, 2024
In-Person Contest: March 22, 2024

There will be a registration fee per team in each contest including the virtual screener. Registration closes on February 22 and there will be no late registrations allowed because of the time required to load competitors into the online testing platform.  All registrations and payments will be completed through Judging Card.

FFA Chapter Advisors registering CDE participants who are eligible for special needs accommodations must contact FVTC Agriculture Staff to request the accommodations at the time of registration.

Virtual Screener Information
The following contests will have a Virtual Screener on February 29: Agronomy, Ag Technologies and Mechanics, Dairy Cattle, Floriculture, Horse, Livestock, Milk Products, Poultry, Vet Science, and Wildlife.

The following contests will not have a Virtual Screener: Ag Sales, Farm Business Management, Forestry, Nursery & Landscaping, General Agriculture Middle School, and General Agriculture High School.

The teams in each contest will earn a place to compete in person on March 22nd based on the highest cumulative team scores.  The scores of the virtual written exam will be added to the final ranking calculations after the in-person contest.  Teams will consist of 3 or 4 students.  The top 3 individual scores will be included in team totals.

The Virtual Screener will be done in the Blackboard learning management platform.  FVTC will generate school logins once registration closes on February 22.  The Virtual Screener will function best using the Chrome browser- this is highly recommended.   The Virtual Screener window will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on February 29.  All the students of the same team at the same school must complete the exam at the same time but independently. (Example: All the students on the dairy team from Foxtown High School would take their exam during 3rd hour in the same computer lab but sit on every other computer and take the exam individually on their own.) Most Virtual Screener exams are 50 multiple-choice questions with a 1-hour limit.
