General Ag High School Contest

This contest provides high school students with the opportunity to experience a variety of CDE areas. The competition includes content from all the FVTC regional contest areas. Each participant will compete individually in all areas. After completion of the contest attendees will participate in a FVTC tour with an admissions specialist of the agriculture center and any other program areas on main campus. They can also get information and arrange future tours of programs housed at other sites (public safety, aviation, etc).

Event format:

The contest will consist of the following parts:

·         A general knowledge exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions.

·         Identification of common items including hands-on, pictures, and displays.

Each contestant should bring a clipboard, calculator, and a supply of #2 pencils.

No cell phones allowed.

There is no state contest for the General Ag High School Contest.

Chaperones to help support the FVTC staff with coordinating participants is greatly appreciated.
