This contest is capped at the first 14 schools to register. One team per school.
Qualification statement:
This is a state qualifying contest with the top teams advancing to the State FFA CDE Contest. The teams advancing to the state-level competition will be determined by the State FFA CDE guidelines.

Location Notes:
Teams will assemble in AG120A at the FVTC Agriculture Center.
Description of the Contest:
The placement of teams will be determined by tabulating the three highest scores of contestants from the school.
Activities and Test Questions will relate to the following topic areas:
Crops
Weeds
Seeds
Insects
Diseases
Plant nutrient deficiencies
Grain Grading
Crop inputs and equipment
The contest will consist of:
Individual Activity
Written Exam - 50 multiple-choice questions. The time limit is one hour. No resources or team collaboration.
A practicum of plant and seed identification, soils, and grain grading, general fertility knowledge, insect identification, and seed analysis. Approximately 10 minutes will be allowed per ring.
Special Requirements:
Individuals are expected to bring their own manual calculator, sharpened #2 pencils, and clipboard free of notes and other markings.
Changes to the procedures or rules deemed appropriate by the Consultant and/or Chairperson mentioned on the day of the contest take precedence over any and all previous written or mentioned statements.
