Extracurricular Supervision

Extracurricular activities are a major part of a student's education at FVMS. Extracurricular activities help students establish and develop new interests, develop leadership and cooperation, improve school spirit and morale, provide for a more well-rounded social development, allow students to exercise their creative capacities more fully, enrich classroom experience, and specifically motivate student interest in school.

All student clubs and organizations must be approved by the administration.

The teacher or coach is responsible for students under his/her supervision until the students leave campus or are picked up by a parent.

The teacher or coach is to allow students under his/her supervision to use a telephone in the classroom to arrange transportation home.

The teacher or coach is to give each student a schedule of activities with beginning/ending times of meetings/practices/or events.

The teacher or coach will have a designated location for written notification of cancellations (the PA system is used only for emergency situations).
