A marvellous, bittersweet monochrome memoir about growing up Iranian. An intensely enjoyable and utterly original movie adapted from a graphic novel. Woodcut animation accompanies the English soundtrack, voiced by Catherine Deneuve, Sean Penn and Gena Rowlands.
