Auditorium Santa Margherita

The Auditorium Santa Margherita, at the Ca 'Foscari University, has seating for 237 people and hosts important cultural events for Venice. In a historic building of the ninth century, now used as a theater and conference room, this was once a church dedicated to St. Margaret, an effigy of Margaret, probably of pagan origin because it is a female figure with a dragon. Some of the frescoes remained in the theatre. For example, the painting of the ceiling depicting the martyrdom of the saint.

The Auditorium S. Margherita is located at the entrance of Campo S. Margherita in the Dorsoduro quarter. It is easy to reach from either the Marco Polo Venice Airport or the Venice Santa Lucia train station or the Piazzale Roma Venice road taxi and bus terminal.
