Sarah ( Sallie ) Elizabeth McLellan Webbs Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth ( Sallie ) Elizabeth McLellan Webb, age 88, Route One, Wilmington North Carolina, passed away Wednesday Morning at New Hanover Memorial Hospital following a short Illness.

She was born in Marion County SC, April 27th 1884, the daughter of the late, Duncan and Hannah Wingate McLellan.

She was a member of, Scotts Hill Methodist Church.

She was survived by, one daughter, Hattie Evelyn Webb Covil, of Wilmington, two sons, Archie Caveness Webb, and Lewis Duncan Webb, both of, Wilmington North Carolina, survive her.

Two Half-sisters, Mrs. Ethel Sealey, Orrum NC, and Mrs. Maude Barnes, Lumberton NC, one half-brother, Quinton McLellan, of Orrum NC.

Fourteen grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great -grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 3pm Friday at Cobles Funeral Home, Oleander, with the Rev Donnie Davis, and Rev Avery Lumsden officiating.

Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 7 to 8pm Thursday night at Cobles oleander Chapel.

Funeral services For Lewis Duncan Webb , age 67, of 8009 Market Street, who died Friday will be held at 2pm, Sunday in Coble’s Oleander Chapel with the Rev. Harry Lackey, Rev. L.R. Teachey, and Rev. B.A. Porter officiating.

Intermit will follow in Prospect Cemetery.

Gracie Lucille Moore Webb Obituary

Mrs. Lucille Webb 81, of 1201 Middle Sound Loop Rd. Wilmington NC, died early Friday morning, Sept 3rd. 1993, in Cornelia Nixon Davis Health Care Center.

Mrs. Webb was born in Wilmington NC on January 19th 1912, and was the daughter of the late Willie L. and Janie Rowe Moore.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Her husband Lewis D. Webb preceded Mrs. Webb in death.

Surviving are two sons, Louis C. Webb of Hampstead and Billy C. Webb Of Wilmington, three daughters, Janie Langley, of Wilmington, Dorothy Leitch Of.

Wilmington, and Esther Webb Leonard of Castle Hayne, a brother, James T. Moore of Broadway NC: twenty grandchildren, and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 5th 1993 at 3 PM in the Coble Ward Smith Chapel with the Rev. Rudy Shepherd and the reverent Harry Lackey, officiating, intermittent will follow at Prospect Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be the grandsons of Mrs. Webb.

The family will receive friends at Coble Ward Smith funeral home on Saturday evening from 7 PM until 9 PM and at other times will be at the residence of Middle Sound Loop Road.

Scott Malcolm ( Scottie ) Nelson Jr Obituary

Malcolm Scott “ Scottie “ Nelson, Jr. died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, January 26, 2008.

He was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, August 21, 1981 the son of Malcolm Scott Nelson, Sr. and Charlene Webb Shankle.

Scottie was preceded in death by his fraternal grandfather, James L. Nelson of Wilmington, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, his stepfather, Scott Shankle, and his stepmother Connie Nelson survive Scottie.

He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Emily Lea Whaley, his maternal grandfather, Louis C. Webb, Kathy,” K. C. Rochelle: his fraternal grandmother, the Lucy Hall Moore, a dear step- brother, Kelvin Riggs, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his beloved chocolate Labrador retriever” Casie.”

A visitation will be held at Andrews Hampstead Chapel from 6-8 PM Tuesday, January 29th.

Funeral services will be held at Scotts Hill Baptist Church Wednesday, January 30 at 8:11 AM, followed by burial at Sea lawn Memorial Park Hampstead, North Carolina.

Archie Caveness Webb Obituary

Archie Caveness Webb of 8414 Market St., died Sunday morning at his residence following a sudden illness.

He was born in Robinson County on December 22, 1913 the son of the late Irnie Caveness and Sarah Elizabeth Webb.

Mr. Webb had attended “First Assembly of God” and had retired from Babcock and Wilcox on March 1, 1978.

Surviving are his, wife, Mrs. Alice Edna Williams Webb, of the home, three daughters Mrs. Myrtle W. Dixon and Mrs. Karen W Edwards both of Wilmington, and Mrs. Sherry W Ussery of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three sons, Archie Thomas Webb, of Wilmington, the Reverent Ray Webb of Gaffney South Carolina, and are Wayne Webb of Clinton North Carolina.

Eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Covil of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Gen. services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 AM in the chapel of Andrew Mortuary by Rev. Wayne Berkley.

Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.

Mrs. Alice Edna Williams we have of 8414 Market St., Wilmington, NC, died Wednesday, July 10, 1996 after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Webb was born on February 27, 1916 in Onslow County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Edward Roe and Nettie Costin Williams, him and proceeded in death of her husband Archie C. Webb.

She was a member of the first assembly of God.

Mrs. Webb is survived by her sons, Archie” Tommy ”Webb and wife, Louise, of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Reverent Ray Webb and his wife Betty of Long Beach North Carolina, and Wayne Webb and his wife, Maggie, of Charlotte, North Carolina,

Mr.Webb was employed by Garver manufacturing company, Daniels Construction Company, and J. Milton Corbett Construction Company.

He was a member of the Scotts Hill hunting club.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Louise Swann Webb of the home; a son, Archie Thomas Jr. Webb and wife Loice of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 10, 1998 Andrews mortuary, Market St., Chapel, by Rev. Harry Lackey.

KIMBERLY RAELEONARD NAYLORKimberly Rae Leonard Naylor, 51, of Wilmington, NC passed away at home from a recent illness.

Kimberly was a loving mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many. She loved God first, family and friends. She also loved cooking and gardening. She had an open heart and a great smile. She will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Ray Leonard.

Kimberly is survived by her best friend and son, Robert Mitchell Clardy; her mother, Esther Webb Leonard (Howard); three sisters, Pamela Leonard Mercer (Johnny), Rhonda Leonard Hutson (J. Michael) and Sabrina Leonard Burnett; many nieces and nephews, a special friend, Mrs. Grady and numerous other friends.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 2pm, Monday, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm, Monday, July 30, 2012, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the Hutson's residence following the committal service.

Louis Charles Webb Sr.

LOUIS CHARLES WEBB, SR. Louis Charles Webb, Sr., 78, of Hampstead, died Saturday, October 18, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Louis was born September 13, 1936 in Wilmington, son of the late Louis Duncan Webb and Lucille Moore Webb. His grandson, Malcolm Scott Nelson, Jr., preceded him in death. Louis was a good family man, hard working, who was dedicated to his family and his church, Red River Meeting House. Years ago, he was a shipbuilder who helped build the USS Enterprise. He retired from J.H. Lea & Sons after 39 years of service. He is survived by his lifepartner of 30 years, K.C. Rochelle of Hampstead; five children, Rene'e Webb of Dallas, TX, Charles Webb Jr. of Hampstead, Melaney Webb of Currie, NC, Charlene Shankle (Scott) of Hampstead, and Michael Webb (Leisha) also of Hampstead; two step-children, Karyn Batten (Cory) of Nashville, TN, and Chris "Gut" Rochelle (Sophia) of Kill Devil Hills, NC; six grandchildren, Melissa Moody, Jamie Flynn, Louis Webb III, Cody Webb, Jon Michael Webb, and Amanda O'Geary; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janie Langley (Tom) and Ester Leonard, both of Wilmington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
