EIGHTH GENERATION

ITTOOP, the eldest of Neduvely Cherian's sons married NELLU#-VELIL MARIYAAMMA from Vezhapraa and settled in KOKKAADU. He had three sons and three daughters, a total of six children named CHAACHI, MARIYAM, ROSSA, CHERIAN, VARKEY and OUSEPH.

NINTH GENERATION

Chacchiyamma was married off to CHIRA*-YIL-AAYA KAA-KKARA#-PADICKAL CHACKOCHAN from Pulincunnu.

Mariyamma was married off to CHA-CKAALA#-CKAL VARKEYCHAN from Changanacherry.

Rossamma was married off to PUTHEN-ANGAADI-YIL PUTHEN-PURACKAL KUNJACHAN from Vaikom.

Cheriachan, the eldest of Ittoop's son's married NI-RA#-YATHU ALEYAAMMA from Alappuzha and settled in MU-LA*-CKAL, Kannady. He had four children named MARIYA, EENAAS, ISSAHAK and OUSEPH.

TENTH GENERATION

Mariya was married off to THEY-KAY-THIL OUSEPACHAN from Payyipattu.

Eenaas married VALLI*KKAATTU MARIYAAMMA from Kavalam. He later on settled in PUTHU-KKAATTU-THARA*YIL with his family. He had three children named KUTTY, MARIYA and THRESIA. Eenaas was not much dedicated to his agricultural activities or family fortunes and the shadow of misfortune fell on the family.

ELEVENTH GENERATION

Mariya was married off to VALLYA.... AN-THONICHAN from Champakulam.

Thresia was married off to VAA-RI-KKATTU family of Punnakunnathussery, Pulincunnu.

Kutty married MAAMMI of NI-LA#-PPANA-YIL family from Pulincunnu. Kutty was a God fearing man, but he was not a very active person. His family life too was turblent. The financial decline which began during the time of Eenaas sharpened during the time of Kutty and culminated in the selling of Puthukkaattuthara homestead to Thyil family, a branch of the Nair family of Paravely. Half of this property is still with them and the other half is owned by Chi-ray-kala*-thil Vaava. The last days of Kutty were in Nilappanayil. He died there and was buried in the Pulincunnu church cemetry. He had a son named AN-THO-NY and two daughters named BRIJEETHA and MAAMMI. They all too lived in Nilappanayil. Both the daughters are married. Kutty died in the 1950s'.

TENTH GENERATION

Issahak the second son of Mulackal Cheriachan married THEY-KAY-KARAYIL MARIYAAMMA from Payyippaadu and settled in KA-LA*-THI-VEETIL. He had four daughters named ALEY, THRESIA, MAAMMI and ANNA. He also had a son named CHERIAN.

ELEVENTH GENERATION

Aley was married off to KAKKAA-ZHA-THU ILLA#-THU-PARA*MBIL family.

Thresia was married off to KOCHU-PURACKAL-AAYA MA-TTAN-CHEY-RY-IL MATHAA-YI-CHAN from Kaavaalam.

Maammi was married off to NADU-VI-LAY-DA-THU CHERIACHAN from Pulincunnu.

Annamma was married off to the KADAVIL family of Changanacherry.

The only son Cheriachan married KARI-YAM-PALLIL ANNAMMA from Champakulam and settled in Kalathiveetil. Due to bad luck whatever Cheriachan did ended up in losses. Later on he sold the Kalathiveedu homestead to Tharayil Appachan. As a result of these financial and emotional stresses he became unstable and wandered about in many places. During this period his wife and children moved back to Champakulam and were taken care of by her brothers. All of Cheriachan's properties in Kannady were sold off. After a long time he settled down permanently in Pallikoottumma near the Alleppey Changanacherry road with his wife and children. He had five children- three daughters and two sons named ANNAMMA, KUNJAMMA, THRESIA, ISSAHAK and --------. All his children are married.

NINTH GENERATION

Ousepachan, the second son of Kokkaadu Ittoop, married OTTA^-KUDI-THU-SSERIL ALEYAAMMA from Kidangara and settled in Chee-raa-di-thara. He had a daughter named MARIYAAMMA and three sons named KUTTIACHAN, VAKKACHAN and ITTOOP. Ittoop died at a very young age.

TENTH GENERATION

Mariyaamma was married off to AAPU-KARA-YIL KAAKKI-CHAN from Vaikom.

The eldest son Kuttiachan married PAALA-KUNNEL MARIYAAMMA from Koothara-pally and settled in MAADA-MMACKAL. He was a heavy drinker. He later sold Maadammackal to Pazhayakattu Thommachan. It was later sold by the Pazhayakattil family to the Pazhaya-parambil family. This property is now fragmented and in the hands of various people.

After selling his house and all his properties in kannady, Kuttiachan like his forefathers left in search of new pastures. He settled in Karuvatta. There they settled in the property PALLI*-VAA-THU-CKAL. There he amassed wealth and properties and was fervently engaged in agricultural activities. Now he is much more wealthy and secure than he was in Kannady.

He had eight children named JOSEPH, NYNAAN, AVIRACHAN, MARIYAAMMA, CHINNAMMA, KUTTAMMA, KUNJOO-NJAMMA and CHAACHIYAMMA.

ELEVENTH GENERATION

Mariyaamma was married off to MANA-KA-LA*-THIL THOAMAACHAN from Edathuva.

Chinnamma joined the Convent of the Sisters of Destitute in Chunangamvely, Alwaye and became a nun.

Kuttamma joined the Holy Cross Convent in Trichinaapally and became a nun.

Kunjoonjamma joined the Clarist Convent in Kannady and also became a nun.

Chaachiyamma also joined a convent in Mudurai and became a nun.

The eldest son Joseph married from THUMBA-MANNIL and settled in Karuvatta along with his parents.

Avirachan joined the monastery of the Society of Jesus and became a priest.

Nynaan married PANA-CHI-CKAL ANNAKUTTY from Changanacherry and settled in Karuvatta.

TENTH GENERATION

The end of a patriarchy

Vakkachan, the second son of Cheeraadithara Ousepachan married NEDIYA-KAA-LAA-PARAMBIL MAAMMIYAMMA from Changanacherry and settled in the Cheeraadithara homestead. He had three daughters named THANKAMMA, CHECHA and ANNA.

ELEVENTH GENERATION

Thankamma was married off to ALEX of Aruvithara. The other two daughters are also married. In latter years, the Cheeraadithara homestead was sold to Chirayil Chackochan and his son Kunjachan resides there now.

Varkeychan the youngest of Kokkaadu Ittoop's sons settled in the Kokkaadu homestead. He married PRA*-YI-KA-LA*-THIL UNI-CHAAMMA from Pulincunnu. He had two children named ITTOOP and MARIYAKUTTY.

TENTH GENERATION

Mariyakutty was married off to PAALAA#-KUNNEL-AAYA VATTA*-MAACKAL E-O-CHAN.

Ittoop married PAARA*-THO-TTU-THARA* ALEYKUTTY from Kainakary. He had eight children named ACCHAAMMA, THARAMMA, KUTTAPPAN(ANTONY), BABY, MARIYAMMA, APPU, KUTTAMMA and GEORGE. All the children were good in studies and were very well educated.

ELEVENTH GENERATION

Acchaamma was married off to NADU-VI-LAY-VEETIL THYIL VAKKACHAN from Karuvatta.

Tharamma joined a convent in Mangalapuram and became a nun. She was engaged in missionary work.

Mariyamma joined the Holy Cross Convent in Trichinapally and became a nun. She is now the Principal of the College there, run by the Holy Cross sisters.

Kuttamma was married off to THOOMBU-NGAL OUSEPACHAN from Changanacherry.

Kuttappan(Antony) completed his B.A.B.L exam and became an advocate of the Trivandrum Bar. He is a well known advocate in Trivandrum. He married from Trivandrum Latin Reeth and settled in his wife house. He had eleven children named JOSE, THANKAN, LIZZAMMA, AMMINI, JAYAN, SHEELAAMMA, SUMA, PREMA, NIRMALA, JOEY and GEORGE.

TWELFTH GENERATION

Jose became an engineer and is now working in Trichur. All the other children are students. All of them are good in studies.

ELEVENTH GENERATION

The second son Baby married GRACY of SHANTHI BHAVAN from Puthu-kkuri-chi and settled in Trivandrum. He worked in the Geo Pictures Company. He had two sons named JOSE and KUNJUMON.

ELEVENTH GENERATION

The third son Appu married KA-LA*-PURACKAL ALEYKUTTY from Pala. He worked as a malasian Government employee for a long time. Later he returned to his native land. He had four children named SHEELA, GEORGE, KURUVILLA and JOSE.

ELEVENTH GENERATION

The fourth son George went to England for higher studies. There he met an English woman named CATHERINE and married her. He settled down there permanently. He had two children named JOSE and ELIZABETH. While living and working in England he became afflicted with some brain related illness and died in 1969. He was just forty years old. His body was buried in England with the help of his Indian friends. His wife and children being English citizens, live in England.
