(b) There is a risk of the wedges ‘jamming’ between the saw and the saw bench. To prevent this, the gap can be reduced for the duration of cutting the wedges by part cutting into a piece of thin plywood or hardboard and holding it in place under the fence and perhaps a ‘G’ clamp. Cut wedges can be cleared from the side of the saw by pushing though with the wedge cutting jig.
