Operator need only use push stick to guide timber rather than push, with operator pulling off. care must be taken that both operators working together and should not overstretch themselves.
Ripping machines must be fitted with a rear table at least 1200mm from the up cutting part of the saw blade.
Push sticks are provided for the operator feeding the timber and wedges are provided for the person ‘backing off’ to be used if timber binds due to case hardening.
