Creating Multimedia eResources
Multimedia eResources are electronic learning resources educators develop to supplement and enhance the eCurriculum.
Multimedia eResources may consist of learning resources to offer information about topics that go into more depth or meet the learning needs of students with diverse background knowledge such as Gifted, Special Ed, ESL, At-Risk). eResources such as these enable educators to build in and offer viable academic solutions for enrichment and intervention in their classes and courses.
Educators may consider the following following multimedia eResources:
-learning games such as Jeopardy, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Treasure Hunt, Scavenger Hunt, etc.
-eBooks for supplemental reading practice and to delve into topics in depth
-Movie, video, Podcast Documentaries on topics related to the curriculum
-supplemental learning materials such as: eDictionary, eCards
-investigations and lab experiments
-reteaching specific academic topics or extra practice
-Virtual tours, museums, zoos, web-cams, WebQuests, web books
-wikis, blogs,
-discussion boards and groups for group collaboration
-digital or eLibraries
-eGallery
-graphic organizers
These eResources can be created as one or a combination of the following components:
