40 Complications / comorbidity
"Complications" refers to one or more conditions that are directly related to diabetes (eg diabetic neuropathy).
"Comorbidity" means a condition or illness that co-exists with diabetes but might be completely unrelated (eg asthma, epilepsy, I've also included pregnancy!) or possibly likely to be related (depression).
