Maria (Rose) Bradley [1799-1896]

[left] a daughter of Sarah (Bradley) Clarkson? Maybe Helen Shoemaker? (b.1853)]

[center] Anna Louise (Clarkson) Dean [1873-1954]

[right] Sarah Ann (Bradley) Clarkson [1822-1903]

Is the woman on the right Anna's grandmother Sarah Ann (Bradley) Clarkson (1822-1903) or is she Sarah's mother Maria (Rose) Bradley (1799-1896)?

Group of 4:

1. boy, 2.?, 3. Sarah Bradley Clarkson [1822-1903]? 4.?

Maria (Rose) Bradley [1799-1896] front-center Back reads:

Can anyone identify others? [BRA-4}

David Clarkson [1817-1880]

David Clarkson (1817-1880) Son of Philip F. Clarkson and Sarah Powelson. Husband of Sarah Ann Bradley. Settled in Northville, Wayne Co., MI in 1831. Father of Charles 'Eugene', Florence R. Janet, Emma Maria, Francis Louisa, Helen Josephine, Lucius 'Herbert', Willard Rosecrans, and Lottie Annabel. [CLA_1]

* Willard 'Willie' Rosecrans Clarkson [1863-1872], died of Typhoid Fever

Willard Rosecrans Clarkson (1863-1872), son of Daivd Clarkson and Sarah Ann Bradley died of typhoid fever at age 9 in Northville, Wayne Co., Michigan. [CLA-7]

* 2 boys; tin type

boy on left looks like Willie, but he didn't have a younger brother; could this be C.E. and brother Herbert? No they differ in age by 15 years. Herbert and Willie? They differ in age by 4 years which is about right and the boy on the left does resemble Herbert. Could the boy on the right be Willie? Willie was 4-5 in 1867/68 and Herbert was 9 in 1868. Does this photo date from 1868? Are they in uniform - the boy on the right holding the stereoscope has chevron stripes on pant legs?

“As work was proceeding on the new sanctuary (1958) the "Marker will" was probated, leaving the church some $11,000. Elvina and Ida, mother and daughter, had bequeathed their Church Street home to Lucien Memorial. The money realized through their most thoughtful gift enabled The Board of Trustees to pay off the 1948 mortgage. The small balance left was used to construct the beautiful stained glass window which frames the large cross behind the altar. It is a lasting memorial from the congregation in honor of Elvina and daughter Marker.”
