Description

Modifications to overhead bridge cranes, which operate from the 120’ factory truss level to transport aircraft components and materials across most of the main manufacturing building in Everett. The work included removal of the bridges, replacement of structural rails and mechanical end truck components, and reinstallation of the modified bridge. All removals and reinstallations were to be completed without impacting normal production operations.

$2 Million (approximately $300,000 per bridge)

• Successfully coordinated bridge removals and reinstallations with numerous manufacturing entities, avoiding any production impacts or delays
• Implemented strict contractor safety requirements to guard against tools/material falling on employees and aircraft during or after work at truss level
• Completed target number of six bridges within the allotted budget and individual schedules
