The Pilars of a Culture of Empathy

CoE is mutuality, we can speak more empathically.

A culture of empathy is where we can share our feelings and experiences.

CoE values human connection and supplies tools and processes.

  • The intelligence of connection.

  • To hear the deeper voices

  • Not use hierarchies for connection

CoE in different contexts. a family, school, workplace, etc.

  • A family would listen to

Kindness and gentleness

  • When no kindness don’t want to live there - can be well organized.

  • What is kindness? gentalness

  • Is a felt sense.

  • A soft movement -

  • Makes me stay with my body. Ver the head

  • Thinking and defending versus

  • A culture that values and nurtures kindness and gentleness

  • Being sensitive - being sensitive to felt experience.

CoE and Pain

  • blocks the connection..

  • Good to bring people together.

  • But they can’t listen to each other.

  • The society that heals the pain

  • Have and empathy buddy

  • I’m not good enough

  • I need healing before I can be empathically

  • Be with the pain without being afraid of it.

  • Need a lot of healing before they can be in the room with pain and fear.

CoE and taking Self-Responsibility.

  • take responsibility for your feelings

  • People don’t take responsibility for what they are feeling..

  • Instead they blame others.

What is not a culture of empathy?

  • Blame

  • Shaming

  • Appreciative acknowledge

  • Have an awareness and positiveness

  • Nice that you are here. Appreciate your humanity

  • Your full humany is appreciated.

  • I want to be more Appreciate

  • I’m glad you are here.

  • I appreciate the full spectrum.. Of the person.. Thank you for the conflict.

  • A willingness to be positive.
