Trail Report
Similar to Ramius and my last long hike near boulder, this hike began at Chautauqua Park and ended a bit to the Southeast of it. Since there wasn't too much difference between this hike and the previous one, I'm not going to write as detailed of a description of the trails or the route itself this time.
As one will note from the photos, the weather was exceedingly nice despite the snow on the ground. We started the hike around 11am and finished around 6:15 PM. We visited three peaks - South Boulder Peak, Bear Peak, and Green Mountain - which are the highest points in Boulder County. The total distance on the trail was approximately 15 miles, with an average moving speed of ~3.4 MPH. The snow didn't prove to be a problem until the sun warmed it to the point that it became wet and mushy. Despite this, everything went swimmingly with the worst parts involving some minor post-holing.
