The court may, on the application of any party, make an order for the inspection by the assessors (if the proceedings are tried with assessors), or by any party or witness, of any ship or other property, whether real or personal, the inspection of which may be desirable for the purpose of obtaining full information or evidence in connection with any issue in the claim.
