74.21 Special provisions as to statements of case in collision, etc. proceedings
--(1) The claimant in any such proceedings as is referred to in rule 74.2(g) may not serve a reply or a defence to counterclaim on the defendant without the permission of the court.
--(2) Subject to paragraph (3), in any such proceedings there is an implied joinder of issue on the facts set out in the preliminary acts which shall stand as the statements of case of the claimant and the defendants.
--(3) Paragraph (2) does not apply to a counterclaim if the claimant has served a defence to counterclaim pursuant to permission given under paragraph (1).
