According to Sui's legendary, a Sui couple hidden in a gourd and helped by fish survived in an ancient flood. Their descendants become Sui people. The artistic design of "Two Fish Holding a Gourd" is often seen in Sui people's stone carving. The gourd symbolizes propagation while the fish symbolize life. Two symbols, put togeter by Sui people, carry subtle meanings.
