Tajik songs & music: The Song of Plateau
Eagle is seen by Tajiks as the head of birds. It represents loyalty, compassionateness, bravery, fortitude, and righteousness. The actions of eagle flying and hovering are often seen in Tajik folk dances. Eagle flute made by eagle bone is a traditional Tajik musical instrument. Eagle is also an image of hero. Those who are generous, warm-hearted, friendly, and helpful are often deemed as eagles. Since Tajiks are living on the Pamir Plateau, they are also called "Eagles on High Mountains".
