Megiliggar

The early Permain Tregonning Granite intrudes the Devonian Mylor Slates at Megiliggar, a coastal section between Porthleven and Rinsey. Stoping, xenoliths, assimilation, pegmatite, aplite and several sills are visible in the cliff and wavecut platform. We visit with L6 AS geology students.
