Student "Green Team" Brings Home SCUSD Project Green Award

Students, parents and staff worked together over several weeks to conduct a campus "green audit," research and propose project ideas that would help "green" Bret Harte's campus. On April 22, the Bret Harte Green Team presented to a panel of experts, their idea of installing solar tubes to help reduce energy expenditures. Bret Harte was one of 19 schools to propose ideas, and on May 13 was awarded with a first place prize - $120,000 of the District's Measure Q Bond Money, to make the project a reality! Congratulations to our intelligent, creative and persuasive Green Team students, staff and parents!
