Exploring the Web

Since you're on this page, it is obvious that you use the Internet! There are many things to do on the Internet. It can be a great tool for learning, and there are great websites that can help make learning fun. It is important to know too, though, that the Internet is a place that can be dangerous, especially if you are not careful. Here are a few tips:

1. Never, ever give information like your address, phone number or location to anyone or any site.
2. Do not post pictures of yourself unless your parent or guardian sees the photo and the website and says it's okay.
3. Never post or say something that you would not want your parent, guardian or teacher to hear or see - once something is on the Internet, it is there FOREVER and ANYONE can see it!
4. When in doubt, ask! If you are going to view or post something, and you're not sure if it is okay, just ask a trusted adult, like your parent, guardian or a teacher. We are all here to keep you SAFE on the Internet and off!
