Today, Friday, March 21, was a very busy day at Bret Harte! We were so thankful to have a campus buzzing with good people and positive activity. Early this morning the Vision to Learn Van, a project of the Beutner Family Foundation, came to school for the second day in a row to provide eye exams and reading glasses for students who needed them. We were so lucky that Nurse Nho stepped up to help make this happen. Even more exciting was that a whole team of people, including State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson, were on hand to learn about the work of Vision to Learn, our SCUSD School Nurses, and our Youth & Family Resource Center!Around 11:00am, parents and family members began arriving for our first Family Lunch Friday of the new year. What a beautiful day for a picnic lunch outside - students, teachers and families all eating and enjoying the weather together.
Thank you to all of our visitors... please come again soon!
