LEWIS SHOOT - RESULTS - 7/21/18

The Big 4+ Sportsman's Club held their annual membership picnic under beautiful skies at their clubhouse in Long Lake on Saturday, July 21. About 80-90 people turned out to enjoy a day of trap shooting, over $3,700 in raffles and good food.

Winners of the Big 4+'s annual raffle were drawn at 4 PM. Numerous other prizes donated by area businesses and national manufacturers were also raffled off throughout the day.

The 50-Bird Lewis Shoot had 48 entries this year and paid out 5 classes, with each class winning $80. Shooters were allowed two entries. Ties were broken by sudden-death shoot offs. The winners and their scores were: Russ Bouck (Amhurst Junction) with 50, Mark McHugh (Newald) with 47, Bill Kramer (Lena)) with 44, Dan Traxler (Oshkosh) with 42 and Harry Wellhouse (Two Rivers) with 39. A consolation shoot was also held, the winner was Buck Brede for $57. (Lewis class shooters could also play options, which paid $90 each. Ties were broken by sudden-death shoot offs. Ed Borske (Alvin) won 25 straight on traps 1 and 2. Russ Bouck (Amhurst Junction) was High Gun, and Rea Dorzok (New Holstein) won the new Ladies High Gun category. Numerous steak, bacon and chicken competitions were held resulting in spirited shoot offs.

The Big 4+ Sportsman's Club extends their thanks to all who helped make this year's picnic a success. A special thanks goes to the volunteer workers and also the businesses who donated prizes and help to sell raffle tickets.
