The Big 4+ Sportsman's Club held their annual autumn trap shoot at their clubhouse in Long Lake on Saturday, September 20. There were 2 events, a 50-Bird Lewis Class shoot and a merchandise shoot. Very gusty winds made for challenging shooting, causing targets to rise or dive unexpectedly. There were 34 entries in the 50-Bird shoot. The shoot paid out 5 classes, with the winner of each class receiving $47.60. Ties were broken by sudden-death shoot offs.

The class winners and their scores were LeRoy Dorzok (Tipler) with 50, Mike Smith (Tipler) with 45, and Stuart Schaal (Lakewood) who landed in 3 classes with 43, 41 and 37 and shot off successfully in each. There was also a consolation prize for scores under 35. Josh Sankowsky (Long Lake) survived a 5-string shoot off to win $34. Lewis Class shooters could also enter for High gun, Long Run and 25 on each trap. Each option paid $44 and ties were broken by sudden-death shoot offs. LeRoy Dorzok won all of the options.

The Big 4+ would like to thank everyone who helped make the event a success, with a special thanks to the event volunteers.
