Fall Lewis Shoot 2019

The Big 4+ Sportsman's Club held their annual autumn trap shoot at their clubhouse in Long Lake on Saturday, September 21. There were 2 events, a 50-Bird Lewis Class shoot and meat shoots. Shooters enjoyed a beautiful fall day. There were 33 entries in the 50-Bird Lewis shoot. The shoot paid out 5 classes, with the winner of each class receiving $46. Ties were broken by sudden-death shoot offs. The class winners and their scores were Class A, Ed Borske, Alvin, 50; Class B, Bill Kramer, Lena, 47; Class C, Ed Borske, 46; Class D, Colby Nikula, Salem, 44; and Class E, Harry Welhouse, Two Rivers, 40. There was also a consolation prize for scores under 35. Wesley DeVore, Iron River took the $33 purse. Lewis Class shooters could also enter the Options competitions. Each option paid out $26 after a successful shoot off. Ed Borske (Alvin) won 25 on Traps 1 and 2 and High Gun, and JoAnne Smith, Tipler, won the Ladies High Gun Purse.
