Missiles Hit their Targets

(Rev 8:6-8) So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. {7} The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. {8} Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood.

John described this atomic fallout as hail since it looks much the same as ordinary hailstones. In test blasts these particles have generally been the size of a marble, ie. roughly 1 cm (0.4 inch) in diameter, and even larger close to the burst point. Atomic hail in this size arrives on the ground within one day after the explosion....A moment after an air-burst nuclear explosion, people on the ground would be instantly reduced to super-heated gases. Their gaseous remains would then be raised miles above the earth by the fiery atomic whirlwind. When the shock waves and ferocious updrafts quieted down, the forces of gravity would eventually return the atomic hail, burning debris, and vaporized blood of the dead to earth" (Today's Technology in Bible Prophecy, Charles Miller, p62,163).
