Today, many activities are coming under more and more public scrutiny. From the travails of smoking cigarettes in public (and private) places to the social ban on eating red meat, our daily lives are falling under the microscope of public opinion and pressure. While many of these pressures are for good causes, many are not. They are becoming a restriction on personal rights and freedoms in the guise of political correctness.
