95 YEARS AGO THIS MONTH

 1 July 1931-Birth of JIM WALKER, manager from 1973 to 1977. A former Sheffield United, Huddersfield and Peterborough defender, he achieved as much as anyone could expect with very limited resources, including the SL First Division title and a run to the FA Trophy semi-final in his first full season.
