60 YEARS AGO THIS CHRISTMAS
27/28 December 1965-the Eagles complete a festive double over Cambridge United, winning 2-1 at home and 4-2 away in frosty conditions to keep up with the League leaders. David Sturrock and Peter Hall scored in the home match and Bill Brown (2), Danny Paton and Norman Cooley in the return fixture.
