100 YEARS AGO THIS WEEK

21 March 1926-birth of DES QUINN, a key member of Tim Kelly's succesful mid-1950s side. Born in Northern Ireland, he played for Blackburn and Millwall before joining the Eagles in 1955 and went on to make 168 senior appearances in both full back positions before ending his career at Sittingbourne in 1960.
