February 2018 - detailing XRF events and news.
Dear XRF subscriber,
Welcome to the Twenty-sixth issue of the British Crystallographic Association (BCA) Industrial Group dedicated XRF Newsletter. There is a copy of this Newsletter on the web to share with your colleagues.
NEXT XRF Meeting will be on 13th June 2018
The meeting and exhibition will be held at a new venue: Sheffield Hallam University. This is a joint meeting with The Royal Society of Chemistry Atomic Spectroscopy Group. Put this date in your diary now! We are offering a special parallel session for both those considering XRF or are new to the technique as well as for advanced users. Each attendant will receive a certificate of attendance for your Continuing Professional Development file. We also have a comprehensive program presenting the place of XRF spectroscopy in various application areas, so keep an eye on the meeting page for regular updates and information for delegates.
The vendor exhibition will follow the usual format and offers both new and experienced users the chance to discuss their needs with a diverse range of suppliers ( we had 13 exhibitors last year). All the confirmed Exhibitors will be listed on the left margin of the meeting page and a link to an Exhibition plan is also available.
Promoting our next meeting
The BCA XRF committee has contracted out the outreach of the 2018 XRF conference to Network Scientific, a leading provider of technical marketing services. This is with a view to broaden the audience and increase delegate numbers. Network Scientific will also take the opportunity to contact past delegates to receive their feedback on past events and discuss their possible attendance in 2018. Network Scientific will work on behalf of the BCA Industrial committee in this matter and represent its interests during the campaign.
